Leo created Outsource Link in 2006 and has over 25 years’ experience in Human Resources, of which over 20 years are in PEO. After attending Barry University Leo worked with several PEO’s at the executive management level in many roles including HR Director, Client Service Director, Implementation Manager, and Regional Sales Director. In 2001 Leo created, developed and managed the comprehensive “implementation process” that is used by many of the top PEOs in the industry still to this day. In 2003 and 2004, Leo and a couple of colleagues developed and implemented what is known today as the “Calendar of Services” HR Delivery platform; and the “Select Services” program that provides a high-level, customized service model that is used with elite, high end and very large clients. His vision and leadership have led Outsource Link to become one of the top PEO Brokerages in the country and one of the top HR Outsourcing companies in the world!

Why should I use a PEO broker?

There are over 900 PEO’s in the U.S. But which one is right for you? That’s where Outsource Link comes in. After meeting with you and determining your company needs, we use a proprietary method and over 20 years of experience to find the PEO that will fit your company needs. In doing so, we will save you from the tedious process of shopping for a PEO, meeting with several sales reps, answering their calls and emails and submitting different pieces of information for each. We will save you money, because we innately understand how PEO’s work and where the opportunities for savings are. We negotiate the best service at the best price on your behalf.

Aren’t PEOs very expensive?

No, actually in most cases PEOs end up saving company’s money by using their buying power and economies of scale. Typical savings come in the areas of Worker’s Compensation Insurance, Employer Taxes, Benefits and HR expenses. There is a misconception that PEOs are more expensive, but when you compare the cost of all the services you need in order to be an employer now a days; the savings in these areas are significant enough to net the client HUGE savings. Never mind the savings netted by avoiding penalties and lawsuits by having an HR Team in your corner via the PEO.

Will I lose control over my employees by working with a PEO?

Absolutely not! A company enters what is called a “co-employment” relationship with the PEO where the PEO is responsible for payroll processing, paying taxes, administering and managing the insurances and is responsible for compliance. The PEO becomes the “employer of record” for reporting and tax purposes. The client is the “onsite” employer and is responsible for all the “day to day” management of the business and all the hiring and firing. The PEO acts as the human resources back office, but the final decision with regards to employees is in the hands of the client company.

Should I fire my HR staff when I engage with a PEO?

No, we don’t suggest firing your HR staff. Firing your HR staff is like firing a mechanic because you bought some great tools. Someone must implement, oversee and use those tools. These tools however, do make an HR team more efficient. It also allows them to focus more on HR producing tasks such as talent acquisition and retention; and focusing on a company’s largest investment, it’s employees.
